# sendlinktotv.com

> Send a link from your phone to your TV browser with a QR code. Free, no app required. Open sendlinktotv.com/tv (short address: kkll.li) in the TV's web browser, scan the QR code with a phone, paste a link and tap Send; the TV opens it in its own browser.

sendlinktotv.com sends a web address from a phone to a TV browser through an internet relay. It does not stream, cast or mirror the phone screen, so the phone and TV can be on different networks (for example mobile data and hotel Wi-Fi). kkll.li is the official short address for typing with a TV remote; it redirects to sendlinktotv.com/tv.

## How it works

1. **Open on your TV.** Open kkll.li in your TV browser. A QR code appears when the connection is ready.
2. **Scan with your phone.** Open your phone camera and point it at the QR code on the TV. Tap the notification that appears.
3. **Send a link.** Paste a URL on your phone and tap Send. Then select Open on your TV. The TV opens the website in its browser. Playback depends on the website and your TV.

## Requirements

- A TV, streaming device or computer with a web browser that supports JavaScript and WebSockets.
- Internet access on the TV and on your phone. They can be on different networks.
- A phone that can scan QR codes with its camera.

## Limitations

- Sending a link is not the same as playing it. Whether a video plays depends on the website and the TV browser; some services, such as Netflix, don't support TV browsers.
- Links open in the TV's web browser, not in apps installed on the TV.
- The TV uses its own network, logins and cookies. Your phone's VPN, accounts and cookies are not transferred, and sendlinktotv.com can't bypass blocked sites.

## Devices

- Samsung Smart TV (Tizen), Samsung Internet for TV: not yet tested on a real device. Browser features vary by model year.

- Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One, Microsoft Edge: not yet tested on a real device.
- Hotel TV, Varies: not yet tested on a real device. Many hotel TVs lock or remove the web browser.
- Roku: not supported. Roku devices do not provide web browsing.
- Apple TV: not supported. tvOS does not include a web browser.

A device is marked as tested only after a real test on that device. Results can vary by model and browser version.

## Why sendlinktotv.com

- **No installation.** Runs in the web browser on your phone and TV. No apps to install and no accounts to create.
- **Private by design.** Links go straight to your TV and are never stored. Sessions expire after 10 minutes. Analytics never record URLs or pairing codes.
- **Different networks are fine.** The phone and TV don't need to share Wi-Fi — both just need internet access. Your phone can use mobile data while the TV is on hotel or guest Wi-Fi.
- **Free.** No subscriptions and no ads. sendlinktotv.com is free for personal use.

## FAQ

### What is kkll.li? Is it safe?

kkll.li is the official short address of sendlinktotv.com. It is shorter to type with a TV remote and simply redirects to sendlinktotv.com/tv. It shows the same QR page and nothing else.

### Does my phone need to be on the same Wi-Fi as the TV?

No. Both devices only need internet access, so your phone can use mobile data while the TV is on hotel Wi-Fi. The TV loads the link over its own connection.

### What's the difference between this and casting or mirroring?

Screen mirroring (Miracast, AirPlay mirroring, Smart View) shows your phone's screen on the TV. Casting (Google Cast, AirPlay) hands playback to the TV from apps that support it, usually on the same network. sendlinktotv.com does neither: it sends the web address to the TV's browser, which loads the page itself.

### Can I send YouTube, Netflix or other streaming links?

You can send any http or https link, and the TV opens it in its web browser. Whether it plays depends on the site: some work in TV browsers, others — including Netflix — don't support them. sendlinktotv.com does not open apps installed on the TV.
