Sony says its Google TV and Android TV models have no preinstalled web browser. If a suitable browser is available in Google Play on your TV, install it, open kkll.li and scan the QR code with your phone. This guide does not assume that older non-Android BRAVIA models have the same app store.

## What you need

- A Sony BRAVIA running Google TV or Android TV, with access to a TV browser in Google Play.
- Any account or permission required by the TV’s app store to install that browser.
- Internet access on the TV and on your phone. They do not need to be on the same network.
- A phone that can scan QR codes with its camera.

## Steps

1. **Install a browser on the Sony TV.** Open the TV’s Apps area or Google Play Store, search for a browser intended for TV, and install an available app. Open the browser itself before entering the receiver address; the BRAVIA content search is not a web address bar.
2. **Go to the TV address.** Type kkll.li in the address bar and wait for the QR code. Bookmark the page to skip typing next time.
3. **Scan and send.** Scan the QR code with your phone camera, paste your link and tap Send.
4. **Open on the TV.** Select Open on the TV.

## Technical compatibility: browser apps are independent

Sony does not guarantee the operation of third-party browser apps. A BRAVIA firmware version, Google TV interface or Android release does not identify the engine used by the browser you choose. Check the app’s version and update information separately.

Choose an app with a normal URL address bar and remote navigation. The receiver needs more than a web-video search interface: it must run JavaScript, display a QR code and keep a secure WebSocket open. A modern browser engine is a candidate for testing, not a completed Sony compatibility result.

## Google Cast and web links use different paths

An app’s Cast button hands content to a Cast receiver. This guide opens a webpage inside the browser installed on the BRAVIA. Cast availability therefore does not prove the same page will load or play in that browser.

If no browser is available for your TV and region, use a service’s supported native app or another receiver device. Avoid following Android installation instructions for a BRAVIA that does not run Android or Google TV.

## Technical requirements for this app

The TV browser must load HTTPS pages, run JavaScript, render a QR code using canvas and maintain a secure WebSocket connection. The receiver build targets Chromium 85 or newer. This is an engineering target, not a verified TV support list; older or different browser engines need individual assessment.

Keep the receiver page open while scanning and sending. Each QR session accepts one link and expires after 10 minutes. Select Open with the TV remote to open the destination in a new tab; the browser must allow that user-initiated action. To send again, return to the receiver, select Send another and scan the new QR code.

The TV loads the destination using its own network, cookies and sign-in state. Link delivery does not establish video support: the website, codecs and DRM must also work in that browser. A streaming service working in a native TV app does not prove that its website will play.

## Real-device testing

The devices marked "Not yet tested" have no completed real-device test. Browser documentation and engine versions do not confirm a successful link handoff or video playback.

- Sony BRAVIA (Google / Android TV): Not yet tested. Sony documents no preinstalled browser on its Google TV and Android TV models. App availability depends on the device and region.

## Troubleshooting

### Google Play has no browser for my BRAVIA

Store results depend on the TV and region. Confirm the television runs Google TV or Android TV. If no suitable browser is offered, this setup cannot proceed on that TV; use another device with a browser.

### No QR code appears on the TV

Check that the TV is online and that you typed kkll.li exactly. Older TV browsers may not support the features sendlinktotv.com needs; if the page keeps showing “Connecting…”, try another device with a newer browser.

### The page opens but the video does not play

Playback depends on the website and the TV browser. Some services, including Netflix, do not support TV web browsers. Try the same link in the TV browser directly to confirm.

### The site is blocked or asks me to sign in on the TV

The TV opens the link with its own internet connection and its own logins. Your phone’s VPN, accounts and cookies are not transferred, and sendlinktotv.com cannot bypass network or regional blocks.
