How to send a link to a Panasonic Smart TV

Use the browser documented for your Panasonic model: Browser / Web Browser on applicable VIERA sets, or Silk on Fire TV models. If it can run the receiver, open kkll.li, scan the QR code and send your link. Some older Panasonic browsers lack modern secure-connection support.

Updated

What you need

  • A Panasonic model with a usable browser, identified by its regional manual and operating system.
  • Working HTTPS access with current certificates; a Browser icon alone is not enough.
  • Internet access on the TV and on your phone. They do not need to be on the same network.
  • A phone that can scan QR codes with its camera.

Steps

  1. Open the model’s browser. On VIERA models with the Browser app, open Apps and select Browser / Web Browser. On a Panasonic Fire TV, use Home > Apps to open Internet / Silk. Menu names vary; check the manual for the full model code before following either path.
  2. Go to the TV address. Type kkll.li in the address bar and wait for the QR code. Bookmark the page to skip typing next time.
  3. Scan and send. Scan the QR code with your phone camera, paste your link and tap Send.
  4. Open on the TV. Select Open on the TV.

Technical compatibility: older VIERA HTTPS limitations

Panasonic’s North American support notice identifies its 2012–2014 models and specific 2015–2016 models whose browser lacks TLS 1.2 and can no longer be updated. Consult the linked notice for the exact affected model codes; this is not a statement about every Panasonic television.

An affected browser may fail at the secure connection before any QR code can appear. Clearing bookmarks or sending a different URL cannot add missing TLS or JavaScript support. Use a newer browser-capable receiver for that case rather than treating a working network connection as proof of browser compatibility.

VIERA Browser and Fire TV Silk are different engines

Panasonic publishes separate opening instructions for Browser and Silk on applicable models. Do not apply a limitation from an old VIERA browser to a Fire TV running Silk, or assume that a new panel specification identifies the browser engine.

On a VIERA browser with bookmarks, save the receiver as a bookmark or homepage if the model offers that option. On Fire TV, use Silk’s bookmark menu. For another Panasonic platform, check its own browser documentation; the presence of streaming apps does not establish a general-purpose browser.

Technical requirements for this app

The TV browser must load HTTPS pages, run JavaScript, render a QR code using canvas and maintain a secure WebSocket connection. The receiver build targets Chromium 85 or newer. This is an engineering target, not a verified TV support list; older or different browser engines need individual assessment.

Keep the receiver page open while scanning and sending. Each QR session accepts one link and expires after 10 minutes. Select Open with the TV remote to open the destination in a new tab; the browser must allow that user-initiated action. To send again, return to the receiver, select Send another and scan the new QR code.

The TV loads the destination using its own network, cookies and sign-in state. Link delivery does not establish video support: the website, codecs and DRM must also work in that browser. A streaming service working in a native TV app does not prove that its website will play.

Real-device testing

The devices marked "Not yet tested" have no completed real-device test. Browser documentation and engine versions do not confirm a successful link handoff or video playback.

  • Panasonic Smart TV Not yet tested Panasonic documents missing TLS 1.2 support on specific older VIERA models. Browser presence alone is insufficient for modern HTTPS pages.

Troubleshooting

The network test passes but secure websites fail
Check the full model code against Panasonic’s browser limitation notice and install any supported firmware update. A successful network test does not establish TLS or certificate support. For a model whose browser can no longer be updated, use a newer external receiver.
No QR code appears on the TV
Check that the TV is online and that you typed kkll.li exactly. Older TV browsers may not support the features sendlinktotv.com needs; if the page keeps showing “Connecting…”, try another device with a newer browser.
The page opens but the video does not play
Playback depends on the website and the TV browser. Some services, including Netflix, do not support TV web browsers. Try the same link in the TV browser directly to confirm.
The site is blocked or asks me to sign in on the TV
The TV opens the link with its own internet connection and its own logins. Your phone’s VPN, accounts and cookies are not transferred, and sendlinktotv.com cannot bypass network or regional blocks.

On your TV’s web browser, go to kkll.li and scan the QR code with your phone.

kkll.li is our official short address for TV remotes. It opens sendlinktotv.com/tv.
